Fukusa (Silk Cloth) - Urasenke - Tantan-sai - Yuko
Urasenke - Written by Tantansai
The calligraphy Jingai Seiraku is on a beautiful mustard-colored fukusa (silk cloth).
Crafted by Tsuchida Yuko.
There are no signs of use, and it is unused. However, the outer paper wrapper (tatō) has some tears, and the inner paper backing also shows some stains.
The fukusa itself has no noticeable stains or dirt.
Jingai Seiraku (塵外清楽) is a Zen and tea ceremony term meaning enjoyment in a pure and tranquil state of mind or place, away from the defilements and noise of the secular world (dust). It represents the spirit of valuing a peaceful time away from worldly worries and self-interest, which also aligns with the spirit of the tea ceremony. (Source: Google)
