≪ A Brief History of Orvis ≫
Founded in Manchester, Vermont, in 1856 by Charles F. Orvis as a retail store selling fly fishing and hunting tackle.
The company later flourished, and upon his death in 1915, his two sons inherited the business.
However, due to poor management, the company was acquired by investor Dudley Cochran in 1939.
After being rebuilt and prospering, it was sold to Lee H. Perkins in 1965 and remains so to this day.
*** Product Description ***
