8Vintage Olive Wood Candlesticks Hand Carved Spiral Twist Pair MCM 60s 70s

Beautiful and unusual pair of vintage hand-carved olive wood candlesticks featuring intricate open spiral/barley-twist columns and turned decorative details. These have a wonderful handmade, old-world appearance. The natural olive wood displays beautiful grain variation, knots, darker inclusions, and figuring throughout. The two pieces are similar but not perfectly identical, which is consistent with individually hand-carved pieces. Based on their construction, carving style, and overall appearance, I believe these date to approximately the 1960s–1970s, although an exact date and place of manufacture cannot be confirmed.
