Product Name
★ Kyoto Ware Heian Zuiko Sometsuke Amite Tea Ceremony Set of 6, Kiyomizu Ware
Product Description
This is a 6-piece tea ceremony set, including a teapot and 5 tea bowls, from Kyoto Ware, inscribed with Heian Zuiko, featuring a charming sometsuke (blue and white glaze) amite (net pattern).
The tea bowls are thin-walled, and the teapot is substantial and large, presenting a dignified appearance as shown in the images.
There are signs of slight use, and the original box is not included.
We believe it dates from the Taisho to early Showa period.
The large and imposing teapot is meticulously crafted, with an inscription on the underside of the lid.
The thin-walled tea bowls have a red rim and a delicate, elegant foot with an inscription inside.
The intricate amite pattern is an incredible display of craftsmanship. The tea bowls also show considerable individual differences in the roundness of the base and the bleeding of the glaze, indicating that they are undoubtedly hand-painted.
This is a refined and high-quality tea set typical of Kyoto Ware. Please enjoy a cup of delicious tea at your leisure. (^^)
