Vintage Cookbook Bundle - American Woman's Cook Book & "Burnt Toast" Cookbook

Two really nice vintage cookbooks - 40s/50s.  American Woman's Cook Book. Copyright 1948.  Burnt Toast Cookbook. Copyright 1950.  These two cookbooks are in good vintage shape.  No yucky schmutz on the pages inside and no writing in the books except for one inscription on inside flyleaf of each.  Look at that American Woman's Cook Book inside cover...c'mon now! How beautiful is that color? There are so many illustrations throughout this book like that; I had to include a short video to give you a look!  And...let's talk about Burnt Toast, shall we?😀 It is considered a highly collectible and exceptionally scarce piece of mid-century culinary history.  My research on this one (and I encourage you to also do your own):   Compiled and published by The Women's Auxiliary of the California Babies' and Children's Hospital (Los Angeles, California), this vintage charity cookbook is incredibly hard to find. Because community cookbooks of this era were self-published locally in small quantities for hospital fundraising, very few copies survived the decades, making them highly prized by regional California historians and serious cookbook collectors alike.  Both would make nice additions to someone's cookbook library!
