Description
Fabulous vintage stacked plastic brooch Art Deco OOAK upcycled. I absolutely adore this piece. It’s five layers of various vintage components that come together perfectly. The base layer was probably a belt or other kind of buckle, and could be Bakelite or another early plastic (unknown, as I haven’t tested the brooch). Next is a very Deco piece of black plastic, followed by a round, muted torti patterned piece. The flat flower shape has a Mother of pearl/abalone kind of sheen. The top layer is an ivory rose, possibly of celluloid. Really well put together, and possibly a one-of-a-kind piece. Some pieces have a glow under black light. Unmarked. Just under 2” long. Good condition. Light wear. Some areas of scuffing and light scratching. Minor dulling in spots. Please refer to photos for additional condition details. 1G
