Description
Vintage ornate Italian serving spoon and fork set featuring an elaborate Baroque/Rococo-style design with cherubs, scrolling openwork, twisted handles, and winged cherub finials. Marked “MADE IN ITALY” and “ITALY.” Likely mid-20th century and made of silver-tone plated metal, possibly over brass or another base metal. The spoon and fork have wonderfully detailed pierced bowls with multiple cherub/putti figures and decorative scrollwork. Both pieces show age-related wear, scratches, tarnish, darkening, and areas of finish loss consistent with vintage use and storage. The aged patina adds to their character. Please review all photos carefully for condition and details. A striking pair for serving salads or displaying as decorative vintage Italian tableware.
