Description
Vintage 1997 studio art glass bowl by California glass artist Lucy Chamberlain. This striking hand-blown piece is translucent green glass with soft pink/lavender coloration and an unusual crackled exterior treatment identified in a professional Mearto appraisal as an Ikora technique. The organic tapered bowl rests on a substantial green glass foot and is signed and dated 1997 on the underside. The appraisal notes that this crackle treatment is atypical of Chamberlain's work, making it an especially interesting example of the artist's studio glass.
