Blue and White Porcelain Bird Motif Gourd-Shaped Small Plate, Trinket Dish, Japanese Antiques, Vintage
23.63 $
Description
This is a vintage incense container in the shape of a gourd (hyoutan), beautifully decorated with sometsuke blue and white underglaze depicting birds and floral patterns.
The adorable, rounded form features birds and flowers painted with flowing brushstrokes. While evoking the charm of old Japan, it also has a simple and gentle appearance.
It's perfect as an incense container, but also recommended for storing small accessories, precious trinkets, or as a Japanese-style interior decoration.
The lid and body fit well together, and it has a smooth, tactile feel.
As it is a vintage item, there are small firing marks and slight scratches on the underside and edges, but it is in generally good condition and can still be used comfortably.
