Stunning mid-century 9” Empoli Italian art glass oversized snifter vase, beautifully hand-blown in a deep, moody dark amethyst purple with a contrasting clear glass pedestal stem. This genuine vintage statement piece beautifully catches the light, revealing gorgeous plum-violet undertones that shift from a deep chocolate brown to nearly black depending on the lighting. True to its authentic, handmade mid-century origin, the base features an embedded internal carbon ash spot inclusion permanently trapped inside the solid glass during production—a prized hallmark that verifies its handmade vintage age over modern reproductions. As with all well-loved mid century, vintage pieces, The exterior of this vase is clean and in very nice condition. There is only minor mineral water staining on the inside from previous use.
