Vintage Japanese Black Ceramic Vase Hummingbird & Red‎ Blossom Motif

Vintage Japanese black ceramic vase with hand-painted hummingbird and red blossom motif, a richly detailed piece with sculptural double handles and a high-gloss finish. The deep black glaze creates a striking backdrop for the composition of a hummingbird in motion among vivid red blossoms and trailing leaves. The artwork has a fluid, painterly quality, with fine gold linework adding subtle movement across the surface. The rounded urn form and small side handles give it a balanced, sculptural presence that works beautifully styled on its own or with florals. Marked Fine China Japan on the base, consistent with mid to late 20th century decorative export ceramics.
