Description
This listing features two consecutive volumes from the iconic Dray Prescot saga: Book 25, 'Legions of Antares,' and Book 26, 'Allies of Antares.' Published by DAW Books in 1981, these mass market paperbacks are both confirmed first printings. Written by Kenneth Bulmer under the pseudonym Alan Burt Akers, these stories continue the epic adventures of an Earthman transported to the fantastic world of Kregen under the twin suns of Antares. Collectors will appreciate the classic sword and planet aesthetics, featuring stunning cover art by Ken W. Kelly and Clyde Caldwell. 'Legions of Antares' includes illustrations by Clyde Caldwell, adding a visual dimension to the high-stakes narrative of rebellion against the slave empire. These editions are essential for fans of the series and those who enjoy vintage science fiction and fantasy in the vein of John Norman's Gor series. Each book captures the pulpy, imaginative spirit of the early 1980s science fiction market.
