Koshu Inden - Inden-ya - Seal Case with Ink Pad - New
13.19 $
Description
This is an Inshuya Koshu Inden seal case.
The attached strap is a compact ink pad.
Inden is made by dyeing deerskin leather in colors such as black, navy, brown, wine, and crimson, then cutting it roughly. A stencil (Japanese paper) is placed on top, and a pattern is applied with lacquer. It is then dried in a dark room for several days.
The unique texture, such as the feel and suppleness, develops with use due to the harmony of strong, soft, and light deerskin.
This is a new, unused item.
Shipping will be via Mercari delivery with simple packaging.
