Inuyama Ware Sometsuke Tokkuri Antique Flower Vase Sake Vessel Folk Craft
24.42 $
Description
This is an antique Inuyama ware tokkuri (sake flask).
The soft white base, the patterns drawn in cobalt blue,
and the contrast with the dark glaze at the bottom are beautiful.
This is a unique piece, with the charm of hand-painted irregularities and the expressions created by firing.
Fine crazing (a pattern of cracks in the glaze) can be seen in the glaze,
giving it a well-used, tasteful appearance.
It is a shape that is easy to use not only as a tokkuri but also as a flower vase.
There are no noticeable cracks or major damage,
but there is a small chip on the foot (see image).
This does not interfere with use and should be understood as a characteristic of antique items.
There are scuffs and dirt on the bottom and foot due to age.
Recommended for those who enjoy the charm of antique pottery.
* Height: 16.5 cm
