Vintage Robinson Signed Studio Pottery Stoneware Bowl 9"

Beautiful vintage hand-thrown studio pottery stoneware bowl, signed “Robinson” by hand on the underside. This artisan bowl features a warm cream glaze accented by expressive iron-brown drip and splash decoration. The interior has a striking abstract glaze treatment, while visible throwing rings and natural variations highlight the handmade character of the piece. The earthy cream-and-brown palette, wheel-thrown form, and spontaneous glaze decoration have a wonderful American studio pottery aesthetic with Japanese Mingei-inspired and Wabi-Sabi influences. The artist has not been definitively identified, so this piece is being offered simply as signed “Robinson” rather than attributed to a specific potter. Acquired from an estate in Westport, Connecticut. Condition: • Excellent pre-owned vintage condition • No chips or cracks noted • Natural glaze variations, speckling, exposed clay, and irregularities are inherent to handmade studio pottery Approximate Measurements: • Diameter: 9 • Height: 4.5 Perfect for an art pottery collection, Organic Modern decor, Wabi-Sabi interiors, open shelving, or as a beautiful tabletop accent.
