Antique Quilt Hand Pieced Hand Quilted Intricate carpenter Star beautiful Ex Con

Offered is a beautiful antique quilt dating to approximately the 1920s–1930s, featuring an impressive arrangement of individually pieced star-pattern blocks set against a blue and white sashing design.  The quilt showcases a wonderful variety of colorful period cotton prints, including floral, geometric, gingham/check, and novelty-style fabrics. Each star block has its own distinctive combination of fabrics, giving the quilt a charming and highly collectible scrappy appearance.  The quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted. The hand quilting is especially visible throughout the white and blue sashing and borders, adding wonderful texture and character consistent with an early 20th-century handmade quilt.  The backing is white cotton, and the quilt has a blue outer border. The overall design, fabric selection, hand construction, and quilting are characteristic of an American quilt from the early 20th century.  DATE: Approximately 1920s–1930s  Excellent condition- does not appear to have ever been washed. The colors are very vibrant.  ***** there is one spot that shows some mild fading along the edge.
