Hachiman-uma are traditional wooden folk toys from the Nanbu region, centered around Hachinohe City in Aomori Prefecture. They are considered one of the Three Famous Koma of Japan, alongside Miharu-koma from Fukushima Prefecture and Kinoshita-koma from Miyagi Prefecture.
This is a vintage item, so while there are some signs of age, it has a wonderful atmosphere.
