Description
Vintage Block Pottery California puppy dog planter, circa 1940s. Sometimes referred to as the whistling puppy. This is the open-eyed version. Hand painted with a floral motif. A nice example of mid-century kitsch. In very good used/vintage condition with typical minor signs of age and gentle use. No crazing. Of note is a miniscule flea bite on the unglazed underside rim which doesn't affect how the piece displays.
