Vintage Iraqi Silver Niello Napkin Rings Set of 4 Double Scenic Middle Eastern

Beautiful vintage set of four Iraqi silver napkin rings featuring individually detailed niello scenes of traditional Middle Eastern landscapes and life, including boats/dhows, fishermen, palm trees and architectural scenes.  Each ring features a different scenic design on the front and reverse, making the complete set especially interesting for collectors. This style of silver and niello work is associated with Iraqi workshops including Basra, Omara and Baghdad and was particularly popular during the early-to-mid 20th century.  * Set of 4 * Silver – each piece has been individually tested * Traditional black niello scenic decoration * Four coordinating but individually decorated rings * Each weighs approximately 17.65 grams * Approximately 1 wide * Unmarked / maker unknown * Likely early-to-mid 20th century Iraqi work  Vintage pre-owned condition with substantial natural patina, tarnish, surface wear, scratches and areas of discoloration consistent with age and use.
