Large Vintage Chinese Cloisonne Butterfly Presentation Box Enamel over Brass 15"

Exceptional large-format Chinese cloisonne butterfly-form presentation box, enamel over brass, measuring an impressive 15 inches long, 10 inches wide, and 4.75 inches tall. This is a substantial display piece with strong visual impact, crafted with multi-color enamel work across both the lid and body, featuring traditional floral and butterfly motifs executed in classic mid-century workshop style. The exterior shows dense patterning with medium-gauge brass cloisons and vivid enamel colors including cobalt, turquoise, red, yellow, green, and white. The interior is finished in high-quality turquoise enamel, a hallmark of better mid-century cloisonne workshops and a desirable feature for collectors. The box retains its carved wood display stand, completing the presentation. The butterfly form is one of the more sought-after figural shapes in cloisonne, and examples in this larger size are significantly less common than the small trinket versions. This piece displays well in any Asian decorative arts collection, cloisonne grouping, or as a standalone statement object. Condition is consistent with age and display use. Enamel surfaces present well with no major losses visible in photographs. Hinges and structure are sound. Stand included. A striking, large-scale cloisonne display piece suitable for collectors, decorators, and curated interiors.
