VTG Austrian Loden Men's Overcoat | Mid-Century Karat-Kleidung Vienna | 40/42

This is a stunning, beautifully preserved piece of Austrian garment history. This vintage mid-century Loden overcoat was tailored and retailed by the high-end Viennese clothier Karat-Kleidung (historically located on Vienna's iconic Mariahilfer Straße) in the late 1950s or early 1960s . (Pre-1966 6-digit phone number on tag)  The coat carries dual interior heritage labels: the primary white stitched retailer tag from Vienna, and the prestigious St. Hubertus Stag Qualitätsarbeit (Quality Craftsmanship) woven label, certifying the fabric and construction originated in the alpine region of Tyrol. Crafted from traditional, dense Loden wool, this coat is naturally water-repellent, exceptionally warm, and built to last generations. Features classic notched lapels, a single-breasted 3-button front, deep slash welt pockets, and traditional raglan sleeves which provide a relaxed, elegant shoulder drape perfect for layering over suits or heavy knits.  Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The heavy charcoal brown wool shell is thick and robust with beautiful texture. The deep brown satin interior lining is clean and fully intact.
