Below is the official product description.

This drum, without a fixed scale, allows for fun sound play along with various songs and instruments.
The drumhead is made of silicone, producing a soft sound. It is designed so that even if a child around 1 year old, who may still have difficulty controlling their strength, hits it with all their might, a loud noise will not be produced. Enjoy rhythm play and body movement along with your favorite music.

The action of hitting the drum also helps with hand-eye coordination, where hands move as directed by the eyes.
