Vintage Woven Basket Ethnic Weave Minimalist Neutral Boho

This vintage woven brown basket is a beautifully crafted piece with rich texture and character. Acquired from an individual who traveled extensively during the 1960s and 1970s, primarily throughout Africa, it is quite possible that this is an authentic vintage African-made basket.   The craftsmanship suggests traditional handweaving techniques, with natural variations in the pattern and construction. There are a couple of small areas where the weave does not fully connect, as shown in the last photo—these may be signs of age or simply part of its handmade nature.
