Vintage Flora Danica Eggert Denmark Sterling Silver Botanical Brooch

A beautiful piece of collectible Danish jewelry by Flora Danica, featuring an extraordinarily dimensional botanical design rendered in sterling silver. Layers of organically shaped leaves and floral forms overlap to create wonderful depth and texture, giving the brooch the appearance of a tiny preserved piece of nature.  The reverse bears a wonderfully clear maker’s plaque reading FLORA DANICA / STERLING 925 / EGGERT / DENMARK, identifying this as an authentic Flora Danica piece by Danish designer Orla Eggert.  The sterling has developed a rich, naturally aged patina with warm golden tones visible throughout the recessed areas.
