I have long worked as an artisan in Kyoto, painting sumi-e (ink wash paintings) on kimonos and obi sashes. In the past, kimonos I painted were featured in magazines such as Kateigaho, Fujingaho, and Utsukushii Kimono.

Now in my later years, I paint freely as the mood strikes me.

Sumi-e is painted in one go without preliminary sketches.
