Antique Marigold Carnival Glass 2-1/4" Fitter Grape Electric Lamp Light Shade
Unbranded
Beautiful antique marigold carnival glass electric light shade featuring an ornate raised grape/fruit and foliage design alternating with deeply ribbed panels. The dramatic scalloped/ruffled lower edge gives the shade an especially decorative early-20th-century appearance. Features a 2 1/4 fitter, a standard size used on many antique and vintage electric light fixtures. This style could have been used with ceiling fixtures, chandeliers, sconces, pendants, or compatible lamps. The glass has a warm marigold/amber-gold tone with iridescent carnival-glass highlights that shift beautifully depending on the lighting and viewing angle. Research suggests the design may be associated with early Imperial Glass carnival lighting, possibly an Imperial grape-pattern shade; however, no maker's mark was found, so the manufacturer is not guaranteed and the piece is being sold as unmarked.
