Vintage Jos E Seagram & Sons Amber Liquor Bottle Federal Law Forbids Reuse.   Fantastic vintage Jos. E. Seagram & Sons Ltd. amber glass liquor/whiskey bottle with wonderful aged character.  The bottle features the historic embossed wording: “FEDERAL LAW FORBIDS SALE OR RE-USE OF THIS BOTTLE”  The base is embossed with Jos. E. Seagram & Sons Ltd. markings. This federal wording is associated with U.S.-market liquor bottles from the post-Prohibition era, making this a great piece of vintage barware and distillery history. Museum records document Seagram bottles carrying the same federal warning and Seagram identification.   Beautiful deep amber/brown glass with a rectangular flask form and threaded neck. Displays especially well as bar cart decor, speakeasy decor, farmhouse decor, bottle collection, or vintage advertising display.  Condition: Authentic vintage condition with substantial surface haze/cloudiness, staining, scratches and age-related wear as photographed. No cap. Please review photos carefully as they are part of the description. This bottle was unearthed and still has dirt in it. Paper on top to keep the dirt from falling out.   The base of this vintage glass bottle is embossed with LIQUOR BOTTLE, Jos. E. Seagram & Sons Ltd., and Canada, along with the Owens-Illinois glassmaker logo (an I inside a combined diamond and oval), indicating it was produced for Seagram's during the mid-20th century.
