The Fuller Blue Book – An Engineers Reference Book 1981 Eaton Reproduction of the 1930s original Eaton Truck Components, Kalamazoo, Michigan • Content includes: – Mechanical drawings – Transmission schematics – Company history – Rare archival ads – Technical notes & specifications This is an exceptionally hard-to-find Fuller Blue Book, a high-quality 1981 reproduction of the original engineering reference book used by Fuller sales engineers in the 1930s. This edition was printed by Eaton to commemorate the May 1981 dedication of the new North American Transmission Division Headquarters & Development Center in Kalamazoo, Michigan. These books were never sold to the public and were distributed only to engineers, internal technical staff, and corporate guests at the facility opening — making surviving copies extremely scarce and highly desirable for collectors. This manual celebrates the deep history of the Fuller Transmission Division, which began in 1902 as the Michigan Automobile Company. Fuller quickly became a pioneer in: • Early automobile clutches & transmissions • Taxi-cab transmissions (used by Checker Cab, also Kalamazoo-based) • Heavy-duty truck transmissions • Military transmission production in the WWII era (1942–1945) • Development of the legendary Roadranger transmissions starting in 1950 • Introduction of the Twin Countershaft Roadranger in 1963
