This is a Ludwig (USA) maple snare drum.

Based on the badge markings (Monroe, N.C. U.S.A.), serial number, lug shape, and shell construction, it's likely a Classic Maple Snare (14x6.5) from the late 80s to early 90s.

The depth is approximately 6.5 inches. It features classic lugs and triple-flange hoops.

While there are minor scratches and signs of aging from use, there are no cracks in the shell or any critical damage. It's in good working condition for both playing and recording.

In terms of sound, it has the fatness and body resonance typical of maple, making it suitable for rock, alternative, and recording applications.
