Slingerland Sound King Snare Drum, Early 1970s

Description
Early 1970s
Slingerland Gene Krupa Sound King
Snare Drum.
Made in Niles, USA.
This is a vintage model featuring a Chrome-Over-Brass (COB) shell and the Zoomatic strainer.
Both the shell and parts are original, and the condition is very good for an instrument of this era.
While there are some pits and minor signs of use due to age, they are within the standard range for vintage COB drums.
There is some chrome loss on the top hoop, but it is in an area that is not easily noticeable when assembled.
It has a responsive sound with a fast attack, and a good balance of brassy thickness and projection.
It is playable as is, but replacing the heads will further unlock its true potential.
This is a well-balanced instrument in terms of condition and originality, recommended for both players and collectors.
Please check the photos for detailed condition.
