This is the 3rd installment of our New Year's Kick Drum Festival.
We've refurbished an antique rescue item.
This is a vintage Nikkan marching bass drum.
This time, we've attached legs, thinking it would suit a kick drum.
It's a slightly thinner shell BD, which is unusual for a 24-inch!
The body is in its original black oyster pattern. The chrome parts have been polished with great effort.
There are still some minor imperfections, but it has become quite clean.
The hoops are wooden, intentionally given an antique look.
However, due to age-related deterioration, there is a slight lifting of the covering.
*There is one repaired area (bottom surface, image 7).
I believe it's not noticeable in appearance or touch, but
please refrain from purchasing if you are overly sensitive.
*Also, one of the legs was for a 22-inch drum, so the position when attaching it to the 24-inch is a bit awkward (-.-;). It's attached in a position where it's shorter rather than longer. Please check the images. There are no functional issues.
The batter head has a crescent-shaped sponge mute inside. The front head has no hole.
We recommend this for those who can play it open. Sorry for the long description!
