o*a様 [Super Rare Vintage Poster] Dick Bruna Public School 1966
This is a poster for DE OPENBARE SCHOOL (Public School) by Dick Bruna, released in 1966.
I am selling it as I am decluttering my collection in preparation for end-of-life arrangements.
The slogan at the top, NIET APARTMAAR SAMEN, translates to Not apart, but together.
At the time in the Netherlands, schools were segregated based on religious and social backgrounds. This poster seems to have been a call to action to encourage children to learn together and build society together, rather than being divided by such circumstances (the issuer is the VERENIGING VOOR OPENBAAR ONDERWIJS - Association for Public Education).
This is a poster with an educational theme, featuring Dick Bruna's signature simple and colorful style.
As there are no halftone dots characteristic of 4-color process offset printing, it is likely printed using lithography, screen printing, or a special color offset printing method, though the exact printing method is unknown.
I purchased this over 30 years ago and have kept it carefully stored, so it is in new and unused condition. However, as it is a very old item, please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about its age.
