【Woodblock Print】 Old Woodblock Landscape Print, Single Sheet, Late Edo to Meiji Period, Famous Place Style

Thank you for viewing.

This is an antique woodblock print depicting a landscape with mountains and a river, rendered in fine lines. It is a single horizontal sheet featuring a continuous depiction of mountain ranges, trees, and flowing water, conveying a sense of expansive, tranquil scenery.

The print includes a title, inscriptions, and seals, giving it the atmosphere of a famous place print. Although printed with a limited color palette, the layering of lines is robust, meticulously detailing everything from the distant to the foreground. It is a piece that would be easily incorporated by those who appreciate old landscape prints and ephemera.

The back is blank, and clear fold marks from long-term storage are visible throughout. The soft paper quality, characteristic of old single-sheet prints, is also present, contributing to its antique printed material aesthetic.

There are strong creases throughout the entire piece. The edges and corners show damage, with some losses. The bottom edge has a somewhat larger loss and tear. There are also minor insect damages, pinpoint abrasions, and stains. The back also has age-related discoloration and ghosting, but the image itself is still clearly visible.

Recommended for those who can enjoy this as an antique print resource, appreciating its aged character.
