◉ Akama inkstones, with their unique and profound red hues, are characterized not only by their color but also by their fine, hard, and dense stone quality, and beautiful stone surface.
○ This piece skillfully utilizes the shape of the raw Akama stone, finished softly to be favored by women.
Furthermore, on the underside of the inkstone, a masterful engraving of the craftsman's signature can be seen with a proud, soft, and flowing touch.
The underside is clean with no scuffs.
It has a lovely form with a long, modern shape.
The Akama stone patterns on the sea and hills appear as faint, speckled patterns of light azuki bean color on a darker azuki bean base.
Additionally, on the left side of the sea and in three locations on the hills, faint, light greenish-blue stars appear distinctively.
It is sure to be a captivating work of art, suitable for use or for display as a craft.
For me, the finish feels so elegant that I cannot bring myself to use it.
