Beautifully custom-framed Japanese art print with intricate details. Features shades of blue, green, and red. Japanese woodblock print (ukiyo-e) by Utagawa Kunisada (also known as Toyokuni III), a prominent artist of the 19th century.   Kunisada was a highly prolific and commercially successful ukiyo-e artist, known for his prints of kabuki actors and beautiful women (bijin-ga).   This particular print appears to be a bijin-ga, showcasing a woman in traditional Japanese attire, possibly in a scene related to daily life or a theatrical performance.   The artist's work is characterized by its focus on traditional ukiyo-e subjects and its embodiment of the Utagawa school's style.   Kunisada's prints offered an escape from the ordinary lives of his audience and are still appreciated for their optimism and energy.   Kunisada I, Utagawa woodblocks - Moonlit Sea Prints One of Kunisada's notable styles was his mastery of bijin-ga, or images of beautiful women. He skillfully portrayed women in various roles and settings last collage photo shows how vibrant the print may have been originally (circa 1853) but has faded with time.
