Antique original Standard Diary No. 116 dated 1883. Victorian pocket diary/account book housed in a black embossed wallet-style cover with folding closure and gold “Standard Diary No. 116” emblem. Features a beautiful red, black and white illustrated 1883 title page, monthly calendars, astronomical and eclipse information, tide tables, cash account pages and other period reference material. Interior bears an embossed advertising mark for Leach, 86 Nassau St., New York. Appears largely unused with clean interior pages. Exterior shows substantial age-related wear, rubbing, edge loss and deterioration to the folding cover/flap, as shown. Please review photos carefully for condition. A wonderful 143-year-old piece of Victorian ephemera for a diary, stationery, advertising or New York history collection.
