This mini artwork is framed in a high-quality aluminum frame with a white mat finish. ■Hiroshi Sugimoto (born February 23, 1948) is a photographer from Taito-ku, Tokyo. He is based in Tokyo and New York. The Boden Sea, Uttwil from his Seascape series was used for the CD jacket of the 12th album No Line on the Horizon by the world-famous rock band U2. It was chosen because Bono had long admired the series.
■What is a mat...? A mat (mount) is a thick paperboard, approximately 1.5mm thick. It is used to adjust the size of the frame and artwork, and to improve the appearance. It also prevents the artwork itself from directly touching the glass or acrylic, thus preventing deterioration of the artwork. Matting adds depth and a three-dimensional feel to the artwork, enhancing its image!
