Kenko Super Night 2000DX Night Vision Scope

Kenko Super Night 2000DX Night Vision Scope

Thank you for looking.
I purchased this item about ten years ago for around 40,000 yen to observe nocturnal animals around my home in a nature-rich area. However, after moving to the city, it became unnecessary. Since then, I would occasionally test its operation and be impressed by its durability.
Recently, I handled the product again and decided it would be best to pass it on to someone who needs it while it's still working, so I am listing it for sale.

Product Condition Description:
- When I inserted batteries after a two-year interval and tested it, the infrared lamp switch and illumination were normal. However, the camera switch initially responded sluggishly, but recovered after being pressed several times. I turned the power on and off twice daily for about two weeks, and now the response is good. However, please understand that this phenomenon may occur again in the future (likely requiring contact cleaning).
- I have marked visible dirt because the electrodes have lost their luster. If the contact is poor, please polish them with sandpaper or similar. The exterior is clean with no noticeable scratches or dirt.
- Within the field of view, there is one large black spot resembling debris, and 3-4 smaller black spots around it. Also, the area near the center may appear slightly brighter and whitish. Please check the images, as the black spots and whitish areas become visible when you zoom in. (Furthermore, there are scattered micro black spots throughout, which I believe are part of the product's specifications.)
I have been observing it meticulously every day, and sometimes (about once every 10 times) I felt that the black spots increased (or became larger?). I paused the listing for 3 months to observe. Since there has been no worsening trend, I have relisted it, but I cannot predict future changes. Please understand this point as well. ...However, it has been working properly for nearly 4 months of handling, which I think is remarkable! (Or perhaps this is how the product was originally designed.)
- Magnification is 2.5x, and the effective infrared illumination distance is 100m.
- The instruction manual is not included. The photos show everything included.

As this is an old product, I cannot guarantee when it might break.
However, I would be happy if it is cherished until the end of its lifespan.
(Please understand that if any issues arise during the pre-shipment operation check, the listing will be canceled, so please purchase with this in mind.)
