Featuring a striking, deep tortoiseshell-patterned faux celluloid/plastic composite top secured by a central sterling rivet, this piece makes a stunning addition to any vanity, dressing table, or antique silver collection.  The solid sterling silver pedestal base boasts an incredible, rich vintage patina with deep, natural oxidation that highlights its 120-year history. We have left this original patina completely intact as many collectors prefer this authentic antique character, though it could be polished to a bright shine if desired.
